  6. The last year I participated in the training course “Planificación y Gestión del Ecoturismo en Áreas Tropicales y Subtropicales de la Región Latinoaméricana", with JICA. One of the best topics about the course was the interpretive training program, it was intensive three days in Tokyo with the expert Masanori Shintani. The information about the interpretive and the experiences shows in the training served to adapt in my job, especially in the humans’ resources program applied in the Ministry of Tourism in Venezuela, around one hundred people I could transmit a short version of the interpretive training program. Really it was very important information, and for me able to clarify all doubts. I recommend this interpretive training program because is an efficient form to learning about the interpretation in the ecotourism and the support the communities in the potential tourist development.

  7. When I had my first approach to interpretation with Masa’s training program, I was a complete discovery. All the activities and techniques were clear, fun and easy to apply. There was space for discussion and practice, as well as team work. Besides, staff was always kind and ready to offer support. All these features, combined with a great schedule of field visits, made it an awesome, enriching experience, which I highly recommend.

  10. With the interpretive training program trained by Masa San, I saw how useful and important it is, especially in ecotourism, the use of environmental interpretation for generating experiences, the understanding of the environment and the knowledge and internalization of environmental and cultural concepts of locality. This program exceeded my expectations, and was very important in the search for more information on how we actually implement and introduce the process of development of locally based ecotourism. I was impressed by the excellent teaching and the vast knowledge of Masa San.

  11. The training provides me with more depth of understanding of the reason of doing a proper interpretation; to make sure people do understand what we are trying to share with them, to make the information attractive and to attract attention.
